The Curse of Captain Aldric Crowe

In the year 1726, when the waters off the Carolina coast ran red with war and plunder, a pirate by the name of Captain Aldric Crowe vanished without a trace. Some say he went down with his ship in a storm, others swear he was betrayed by his own men. But the one thing all the stories agree on?

His treasure was never found.

Crowe had stolen a fortune in Spanish gold—enough to make a king weep. But with a fleet of the Crown’s warships hunting him and whispers of mutiny among his crew, he knew he couldn’t keep it aboard his ship. So one dark and stormy night, he and his most trusted men rowed ashore, hauling their chests of gold into the wilds of the Carolina coast.

Where they buried it remains a mystery.

Some claim it lies beneath an old, forgotten road, one that no longer appears on any map. Others believe Crowe used an old ruin as a marker, hiding his loot where only the truly cunning would think to look. A few say he left behind a clue—scratched into stone, carved into wood, or whispered on the wind—a message that only the sharpest seekers could decipher.

But Crowe never returned to claim his fortune.

His crew was found butchered along the shore, their bodies untouched by scavengers, their faces frozen in expressions of terror. Locals whispered that something unnatural had taken them. Sailors who dare to search for the treasure often report strange happenings—shadows moving in the trees, the feeling of being watched, whispers just beyond their hearing.

And then there’s the warning—passed down through generations of old Carolina families:

“The gold is waiting, but the Captain still guards it. Find the road, follow the stone, but beware… once you seek Crowe’s treasure, he may start seeking you.”

The question is… will you be the one to find it? Or will you become part of the legend?
